Terms of Service — ePharmatica

1. Agreement
By accessing or using the Platform you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Content Policy, and Medical Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. What ePharmatica Is
ePharmatica provides: (a) educational study material for pharmacy students, including written notes and embedded videos; (b) optional AI-powered study tools; (c) a community discussion forum and blog; (d) a pharmaceutical jobs board; and (e) a resume builder. Some modules may be marked "Coming Soon" and are not yet available. We may add, change, or retire features at any time.
3. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old; if you are under 18, you may use the Platform only with the consent of a parent or guardian. You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. One account per person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Content Policy.
4. Educational Purpose Only — Not Medical Advice
All Platform content — written material, videos, community posts, blog articles, and AI outputs — is provided solely for educational purposes. It is not medical, pharmaceutical, clinical, or professional advice; it is not a substitute for professional judgment, official prescribing information, clinical guidelines, or consultation with qualified healthcare professionals; and it must not be used to diagnose, treat, or manage any patient or condition. See the Medical Disclaimer for full terms. Never disregard professional advice because of something read on ePharmatica.
5. Your Content
"Your Content" means anything you submit: forum threads and replies, blog posts, comments, profile information, and files you upload.
- Ownership. You retain ownership of Your Content.
- License to us. For content posted to public areas (forum, blog, public profile), you grant ePharmatica a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for formatting), and distribute it on and in connection with the Platform, including in previews, search results, and the WhatsApp assistant. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for cached/backup copies and content others have quoted.
- Private data stays private. Your highlights, personal notes, study progress, bookmarks, saved jobs, resume data, and AI keys are private to your account and are not published or licensed for public display.
- Responsibility. You are solely responsible for Your Content, including its accuracy and legality, and you warrant that you have the rights to post it. Do not post copyrighted material (e.g., textbook scans or PDFs) without authorization, confidential patient information, or anything prohibited by the Content Policy.
- Moderation. We may remove, hide, or restrict any content or account at our discretion to enforce these Terms and the Content Policy.
6. Our Content & Acceptable Use
Platform content (study material, site design, branding, software, and databases) is owned by or licensed to ePharmatica and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access and use it for your own study and professional development. You may not, without written permission: copy, scrape, bulk-download, republish, sell, or redistribute Platform content; circumvent the content preview gate or any access control; use automated tools to extract content (including for training machine-learning models); frame or mirror the Platform; interfere with its operation or security; or misrepresent affiliation with ePharmatica.
7. AI Features (Bring Your Own Key)
AI study tools operate using API keys that you supply for a third-party provider you choose (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, Groq).
- Your provider relationship. Your use of a provider's models is governed by that provider's terms and pricing; you are responsible for all charges your key incurs and for keeping your key within that provider's usage policies.
- How we handle keys and prompts. We transmit your prompts and relevant study content to your chosen provider to generate responses. We do not sell your keys or prompts, and we do not store AI conversations in v1; key storage options and safeguards are described in the Privacy Policy.
- Rate limits. We may rate-limit AI requests to protect you and the Platform.
- No warranty on outputs. AI outputs are generated automatically, may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, and are provided "as is" for educational use only (see §4). You must independently verify AI outputs before relying on them.
8. Community, Badges & Verification
Participation in the forum and blog is subject to the Content Policy. The Verified Pharmacist badge indicates only that, at the time of review, the user submitted credential documents that appeared on manual inspection to evidence pharmacist registration. It is not a license verification service, an endorsement, or a guarantee of any user's identity, qualification, standing, or advice. Badge decisions are at our discretion and may be revoked.
9. Jobs Portal
Job listings originate from our editorial team, from employer submissions, or from public sources. We do not verify listings beyond reasonable review, are not a party to any application or employment relationship, and make no representations about any employer, role, salary, or outcome. Applications occur off-Platform at your own risk; never pay anyone to apply for a job. Employers submitting listings warrant that their listings are genuine, lawful, and non-discriminatory, and grant us the right to publish, edit for format, or decline them.
10. Resume Builder
Resume data you enter is private to your account; PDF export is generated in your browser. You are responsible for the accuracy of your resume. We do not guarantee compatibility with any specific applicant-tracking system or any hiring outcome.
11. Third-Party Services
The Platform embeds or links to third-party services — including YouTube video embeds, Google sign-in, your chosen AI providers, and (when available) WhatsApp — which are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or external sites linked from user content or job listings.
12. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: your contact details, identification of the work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material, a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorized agent. We will review promptly and may remove content and, for repeat infringers, terminate accounts.
13. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal requirement, or risk to the Platform or its users, with notice where practicable. Sections that by nature survive (4, 5 license tail, 6, 12, 14, 15, 16) survive termination.
14. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currency, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. Pharmacy knowledge changes; content may become outdated. We do not warrant that content is error-free or that the Platform will be secure or uninterrupted.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ePharmatica and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from use of or inability to use the Platform, reliance on any content (including AI outputs), community interactions, job listings, or third-party services. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months or PKR 10,000 [adjust with counsel]. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify ePharmatica against claims arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on the Platform with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
18. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [Lahore / registered city], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
